It's my 23rd birthday! here are 23 fun facts about physics and math :)

1. Sound creates heat- so really you could yell at your food to warm it up (don't try this at home)

2. If the sun were made of bananas, it would be just as hot (not for long tho) 🍌

3. Space has a smell. Astronauts have described it as a 'burning metal" or seared meat.

4. All objects fall at the same speed (obv without there being other factors like wind/air)

5. The faster you run, the heavier you get. 

6. Time freezes inside a black hole.

7. If you had a penny and doubled its value every day for just 30 days, you would have over $5 million dollars!

8. A "jiffy" is actually a unit of time! it means 1/100th of a second!

9. Water can boil and freeze at the same time!🥶

10. Mars' two moons are named Phobos and Deimos, which actually mean Fear and Panic.

11. If you were to cry in space, your tears would stick to your face :(

12. Helium does not get affected by gravity!

13. Electric eels can produce electric shocks around 500 volts!

14. All the matter that makes up the human race could fit in a sugar cube! (my chem teacher told me this so I KNOW it's true haha)

15. Black holes aren't black! 

16. Transparent objects are visible because they reflect light! this is why we can see ice cubes 🧊

17. It is impossible to sink in the Dead sea! this is because of its' high density due to the salt!

18. Pi 𝝅 is an irritational number

19. Whenever you see a vibration, you're seeing sound!

20. There is a planet where hot glass rains horizontally! (planet HD 189733b)

21. Particles can behave differently when observed 👀

22. There are an infinite number of mes writing this, and an infinite number of yous reading this (based on how there an infinite number of universes)

23. If 23 people are in the same room, there is a 50% chance that two people will have the same birthday!
